Pharmacy Passion Competition

You know his passion is founded on results and vision. To cut a long story short, we are unveiling a competition. This competition is sponsored by www.bookapharmacist.com and is open only to Pre-registration Pharmacists and Final year Pharmacy students in the UK. The question we are posing is this: How will you demonstrate your passion for pharmacy when you qualify? The winner will walk away with a cool £500 and the runner up will get £200. All the prizes available to win are detailed below (table 1)

You can submit your entry in any of the following 7 categories (table 2). Each entrant is allowed a maximum of TWO entries in different categories.

As an example you could submit a catchphrase entry and a video entry.

The competition is open now and will close on the 31st of August 2009. So let your creative juices start flowing. To help stimulate this, we have created a series of our own suggestions for each category (table 3):

At the end of August 2009, we will collate all entries and pass them to the judging committee. The committee is looking for originality of entry and the impact value. The job of this committee is to reduce the number of entries to 50. If it captures the judging committee’s attention then its in. This committee will consists of between 5 and 10 pharmacists. They will deliberate and vote on each entry. We will of cause keep you up to date here. If your entry is amongst the 50, we will write to you to congratulate you for making it to the 2nd phase of adjudication.

The 2nd phase panel will consist of an eminent pharmacists from hospital, community, industry and academia. They will review the 50 entries and decides who wins what. Their decision is final. The 2nd phase panel will meet in November.

All cheques will me mailed out to winners in time for Christmas. Call it a Christmas present from Pharmangelist Limited and symbol that you have demonstrated your passion for our profession. Make sure you then go on and make your passion happen. If you are happy, we may want to present the cheque to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd candidates in a private ceremony and maybe take some pictures.
